Angie...

had to put this one in, caught her off guard and she was saying - "don't take that picture..."

Dave's been a busy boy, with work and going out and sleep deprivation...
So many things going on, where do I start?
Well, I just met Angie last week, she was in town visiting a friend. So long story short, we ended up hitting it off, and I had the privilege of taking her out every night while she was in SD, (sadly she was here only 3 days) . She seems great... smart, witty, down to earth, open-minded, we seem to have a similar sense of humor, and to top it off, she can drink a beer, drive a stick shift and put together cabinetry. If she liked baseball, she'd be the perfect woman! Fortunately, she's open to learning more about it.
OK, I don't know if you remember that movie A Bronx Tale, but in one scene, Chazz Palminteri teaches the kid about the door test, it goes something like this :

"I've been doing this one since I stole my first car back when I was 14. The "door" test basically boils down to this: When you take a girl out for the first time, lock the door on your side of the car, open her door first, walk around the back, and see if she unlocks the door for you. If she does, she's a keeper. If she doesn't, she's a selfish bitch and you should consider yourself lucky to have recognized that early on. "
Anyway , point is, nowadays with keyless entry, unlocking a door isn't necessary, but she did reach over and open the door each time I let her in my car... Keeper material? definitely!

here's the rub, she's from out of town... A nursing student in Kansas... which means that she has to finish her degree before even considering a move anywhere. Transferring to CA with non resident tuition would be out of the picture :( So it's going to be a little over a year before she moves. We've talked on the phone pretty often since then, so it feels like we've known each other for longer than we actually do. I jokingly told her that technically, we've known each other 3 weeks since we've been on 3 dates and typically dates are about once a week or so. Anyway, long distance things are a bitch and this is going to be a lot of work, but who knows, it could work right?

David, when did you become such a player? ... lol. I don't think we've talked since HS graduation. But it's good to hear you are doing well and stuff being a ladies man down in SD ... haha. If we compared you back in freshman year till now, we'd bust out laughing. Anyways, keep it real and maybe I'll see you if you come up to SF or for the re-union thing.

Late,
Daniel
